Well, if you were going by the size of a standard aquarium the smallest one that is logical is a 75gfallon, which is roughly 4X2X2 (LWH) so i would say the demensions should be no smaller than that...you can go as large as you want, keep in mind you want something that is ideally very wide, with a lot of floor space for your beardie to explore!

yes i agree with alteredmind, if you are building your own i would say go as big as 5ft long 2 or 2 1/2 feet thick and 2 feet high, you really dont want to go over 2 feet high unless you plan on hanging the uv and heat lamps down into the tank....the beardies need to be able to get within 12 inches or so of the bulbs at all times.....good luck!!
