orange on tail.....?

drako32186 Jul 09, 2003 10:36 PM

I got 3 leos a coulple months ago. I went on a trip for a few days and left them with my mother and when I came home one had a bit of orange on it's tail. Like right where it connects to the body. So what does that mean? I mean, I've seen others like that, and I know that their patterns change as they get bigger and all....but does this mean that he's some special kind or something? Thanks in advance for any help.

Drako,

It is normal for leos to develope some orange on their tails. To be a "carrot tail" it has to have a good amount of solid orange on it, without the spots. but again, most leos do have some orange on their tails, though.

Yeah i agree with melissa. Actually most high yellows and some normals do develop some orange in the tail, but it is not genetic like a CT.

also, it could be generic if either mom or dad was CT, but it is still doubtful.
