First photo session with my blood......

drummagirl Jul 09, 2003 10:36 PM

And i don't think she likes it! hehe,we've still got a little ways to go with the 'taming' process, but she's a pretty good girl. I got her from Will Leary a little over a month ago.
Hope you enjoy, i took these pics with my new Nikon coolpix 2500 camera.

Very nice blood! She's got a very nice partial stripe! How old is she and how long?

Thanks,glad you like her!
To tell you the truth, i'm not exactly sure how old she is, I was told she was a late '02 baby, so i figure she's around 8 months. Does that sound logical?
She is about 20 inches long. That too is a bit of a guesstimation, i wasn't smart enough to grab a tape measure when i was taking pictures. And just for the record she is P.c.brongermai, although i'm sure most of you already knew that.
If you don't mind my rambling for a minute, i just wanted to laugh about the fact that there is no mistaking of a pissed-off blood! They feel like slugs most of the time, but when they start to get fired up, the feel of their muscles tightning is just amazing! That's what i love about bloods, you've gotta respect them!
Thanks for listening to me ramble!

well 2 really. first nice snake. second Python curtus no longer has any subspecies, sumatran short tails, Borneo short tails (Python breitensteini) and Blood pythons (Python brongersmai) have each been given their own specific status, which is a great thing. enjoy the snake, bloods really are great, i dont know what id do without mine, too bad shes not a scrub python, its the only way i could like her more!
