White's wont eat...

demoniendin Apr 04, 2005 05:36 AM

I recently bought two white's tree frogs. I have a male and a female (by chance) and the female eats well and is very active. The male on the other hand refuses to move from his spot. He usually burrows underneath the sphagnum moss and doesnt move at all even if crickets move RIGHT in front of his face. the crickets realize the lack of danger and use him as shelter when i check to see if they are dead or not. He has eaten once since Ive had him. Thats once for a week and a half. what may be wrong with im? is he just an inactive frog?

that sounds just like my frogs, but Ive had mine for 3 months.
he must be eating somehow, andhe hasn't moved from the spot he's in for three days. that might be a problem because the spot he's in is in the bottom corner behind the water bowl, and my fatter frog likes the top corner above the skinny one
