is a new snake. You should be looking at a 3 month quarantine.

LOL - standard procedure is at the very least one month preferably 3 months, but if you think 10 days is good, well they are your snakes. I didn't assume anything, simply stated that any herp vet that would tell you its ok to house a snake with an unknow history with an established snake (without the appropriate quarantine period and tests) is in my book incompetent.

By the way two days in a separate cage is probably not enough time, when you move snakes out of their familiar environment, it takes them a while to settle in. Of course she could be hungry enough to eat, but don't expect it for a nother week or two.

Vets have a general knowledge of common animals - dogs, cats, etc. Most do not have very much knowledge in certain species - reptiles being one of them. I used to get quite a bit of free service/meds for educating my old vet. He was willing to learn, so I give him credit.

he knows alot about reptiles, he is just alittle too carefree, ya know? he's always like "she's fine, quite worryin" He doesnt get too upset when somethin dies, but i do, so i do worry alot. He says he took a reptile care and anatomy class in puerto rico in the early 90's. He has a plaque and stuff from there so i guess it is legit? anyways thanks for the help guys and gals!!

As long as he completed a weekend course fifteen years ago, I'd say he's more than qualified.
