Okay,
The guy I bought Rachel from told me she was wild caught. HOWEVER! She was six months old when I got her and she has NEVER once tried to strike out of meanness. She did strike TWICE when a four-year-old bounced at her when she was in full shed, and ONCE when I was feeding her during a shed (She was VERY hungry and knew I was lowering her into her feed box. She let go as soon as she knew it was me.)
My question is: would a wild caught snake be that calm? I really think she likes me. She was comfortable with me almost since day one. She adapted VERY quickly to my home, and has been THE BEST GIRL! She is VERY trusting and loving. She LOVES to crawl through my hair, and stays pretty good around my neck when we are out and about.
I could go on and on about how good she is (she really could be the poster snake for ALL Ball Pythons!) but I know everyone's time is limited. I have pictures of her in the gallery.

Perhaps it is captive hatched.

No snake strikes out of meanness . Being mean is for humans.

I( have seen people say a WC snake is CB to get more money, but I can't immagine someone trying to get LESS money for the snake. I agree with the previous poster, maybe CH and he was mistaken, but I doubt CB.

Sure she could be WC. One thing about BPs is they are so mellow.
Caught young I think they are more likely to adapt to be good eaters and all too. WC adults tend to have habits set and problems in the eating department. But both my WC adults are mellow and don't strike. They also only eat Gerbils. 'Wildness' can't be an indicator with BPs. And as was pointed out. It seems doubtful that someone would advertise her as WC when they could get more money for CB.

Thank you all. I just found out that she will live 20-40 years! WOW! I am glad I will have that much time with her. She is just GREAT!
I wasn't sure how truthful some "dealers" are. This "dealer" has sent me business emails. He brings some snakes, spiders and reptiles to a local fall festival to sell. His prices are very high through the internet business, but real reasonable at the festival.
Thank you all again for the information.
