I bred a few Surinames in the early 90s and had mediocre success breeding them in December and January. This was the two months that most of your " big timers " said; was the best time to breed.By 1996, I had one of the most impressive groups of Peruvians that you would find anywere, I even had some of Ronnes best girls and boys when he got out of them. The first two years, I tried to breed them like Surinames and had ZERO LUCK and finally, I decided to raise the temps higher on some of my females and try breeding them in May as an experiment and I wish now, I would have bred all of them instead of only two. They started breeding in May and by the end of May both females were done. It was a great year and one of the litters was the best that most have ever seen, Barry " the man " miller has two of them from that litter on his website.Peruvians, like it hot and I have seen that it is not alot of difference in Surinames and Guyanas, BUT I know it to be very true with Peruvians. Good Luck Guys!........Johnson Herp
