Found a Snake

gta_140 Apr 04, 2005 12:10 PM

Hi I found a snake in my backyard and was wondering what kind it is. It is reddish brown with a brighter underbelly. It kinda looks like a worm snake but I'm not sure if they are found in Texas. I live north of Houston in a pine forest type environment. No rush I was just curious.
Thanks.

I suggest you look at Texas Brown Snake and Rough Earthsnake. Both are common in your area (and wormsnakes don't occur there).
