03 BCC from FLR

g.gartner Apr 04, 2005 06:28 PM

I can't believe I'm actually thinking of selling this thing...somebody convince me otherwise, especially given that there won't be any FLR litters for a few years. This male has a funky persimmon colored wash over his whole body, the flash tends to wash it out, but I think he'll have alot of orange, or be a very yellow snake at the very least.

cheers,
gabriel

very nice snake,
keep it if you like it, you can never have too many boas
by the way, do you have the contact info for FLR I need to get ahold of them (phone number and/or email). Why won't there be a litter for a few more years?
thanks,
ANDY

Brian's snakes have been breeding machines and he has some of the best looking babies I've ever seen (I saw his holdbacks when I was up there in november). He's going to blow the doors off the BCC community in a few years when he starts producing again...huge peaks, kaleidoscopic colors, completely insane animals. I took one of his breeders, "Chikita," sister to peaks. She almost looks like a peruvian she's so bannana yellow at times. I started to cool her, but then stopped and just started stuffing her...I'm going to give her a run this year. She has small symmetrical saddles and a smallish tail, so her babies should be awesome--reduced saddles and extremeley clean with awesome color...but that's counting my chickens before they hatch...so we'll see.

here's an 03 from the peaksXbobo litter...these things went like hot cakes...I love the speckles on this thing...I think mike eckert has a male that's really speckeled too...I can only imagine what pairing these things up in a few years would produce...

cheers,
gabe

this is from the lyndsey (belknap) X Sal litter...I can't really describe this things color, like if an overly impressionistic painter decided to paint a boa...crazy pastels and soft lines...very clean.

andy

by the way I was trying to get ahold of Brian to see which boas were the parents of the boa pics I posted today...any guess, she was a late '03 baby

Tell me more... I might wait 4 years, Those and the ones on their site are the most awesome redtails I have ever seen! I LOVE the light and bright and clean look! I want one! Anyone else have anything nice like that? I am new to the whole boa thing (Python chick expanding).

I would say that it's from the Bats litter....the peaks litter all had absolutely monster peaks (at least all the babies I saw) and the Lyndsey litter were all fairly distinctive but the bats litter was really variable...also, bat's babies were gigantic and will be huge boas...here's a pic of my 03 female growing like a weed...sorry for the enormous pic...

gabriel

Gabe,
That is a beautiful animal. You'd have to be nuts to sell that one. FLR animals are no doubt some of the best out there. You WILL regret selling it! So how did I do as far as convincing you? All kidding aside, I have 3 FLR's and I would never part with them. Your snake is a beauty.

Hey Andy,
To answer your question, you can contact Florida Redtails by going to www.floridaredtails.com and click on "contact." There won't be any more FLR animals for at least 4 years since Brian sold all of his breeders and is taking some well deserved time off. He held back 15 litter picks which he will use as breeders when they mature. He still has a few left on his website on his available page - Hey Brian, do I get any discounts on my next purchase from all this promo? (LOL)----RON
