breeding question???

shhawke Apr 04, 2005 08:00 PM

after reading the posts from before i was wondering how many people use more than one male during breeding one female???
how many people use 2 males at the same time???

i have been breeding for a while now i i have never used more than one male... i have never had a problem with any of my males not taking...

i was only asking the question because in anacondas they are i think still trying to figure out if the sperm from more then ane male gets the female gravid... and i would think that it would be the same question in red tails... plus how do you know whick male got her gravid? i would think that would be an important question to your customer...

i'm not trying to be rude at all in my question, so please dont take offence... i was just wondering... i might consider doing it next time around if their are no apparent problems with this..

i use 1 male to a female. With todays morphs you can't chance it cause you won't know who the dad is. Even with normals people want unrelated pairs and if you don't know the exact father you can't gurantee unrelated. What some people do is use 1 male to multiple females. Hope this helps Paul
