Well the mother that had the sole baby on 7/3/03 finally decided it was time to deliver the rest of the litter this afternoon.....There were a total of 26 full term perfect babies this after and the one baby from the other day......Only 2 slugs....I was very worried about the beast as this was her first litter (I guess mother really does know best)....One interesting thing to mention is that it did rain all afternoon here!

..Occidentalis. She's about a week past due, although everybody is late this year, and is really huge. After Rick's horror story of what happened with one of these years ago I'm chewing my fingernails and tossing all night in worry!

Maybe we will get that hurricane that's entering the Gulf, It will take the roof off my house but should convince a couple of girls here to dump babies. Think positive, right?!

Gus, My Argentine just dropped 27 healthy babies, two premies, and one slug. I'd expect yours to drop any day now. Good luck!

Gus,

I am telling you the wait was killing me....Jessica (my girlfriend) must have wanted to strange me.....I am usually not concerned when an animal is past her due date but in this case the lone baby was what had me worried! Perhaps your argentine is just being difficult (aren't all women)? Just remember one thing, "A watched pot never boils)!

Good Luck and keep up posted!

My intentions were not to make you guys shudder into a corner and worry to death. lol. But I can say I have been in your position before so I know what it is like.

Russ. Glad your female came through. I have had colubrids lay an egg early then come back and lay the rest of the clutch, but I have never heard of this for a boa. Lots to learn.
