Leonis Female

That looks like my "Olive" colored leonis female. I will get a pic of her soon......
Very nice. I like the grey face. A very "wild" looking specimen.
What did the parents look like? Were they both leonis phase or not?
Cool snake.....I still like the wild type thayeri too...

Here is one with lots of black....

The father was a MSP from Kim's colubrids via Know Slack (I think hers was from Vivid line but I'm not positive) The mother was a buckskin from a mix of Appelgate and a wild caught. I like the gray nose too.

This snake almost died because I could'nt get her to feed. She was definately the most work I've ever had, getting her to eat.

I know what you mean. I get a few like that every year. I have a step by step process I go through that finally gets them to feed.
The most effective step is to hibernate the nonfeeders for 6 to 8 weeks then they usually come around.....
I think they are worth the extra effort every year. Nonfeeders ARE NOT confined to Mexicana though as most people think. I have had Getula group kingsnakes that were just as stubborn.
Most of my Mexicana will feed right out of my hand now. So....the picky feeder cliche for Mexicana is just a myth in my opinion......

I agree. That one was the only one I've produced that gave me that much trouble. It's really just a matter of learning the "tricks of the trade". I got her to feed by tease feeding her with a pinky dipped in chicken broth.
You are right though. I've seen alot more cornsnakes perish because they are picky feeders than kings. I had a brood of rosy boas that I could'nt get to feed all but one of six died in that group.
