Odd fish behaviour

Last night I heard a banging sound and when I checked it out, one of the feeder fish in my turtle's tank is banging its entire body against it; head first then body. The feeder is still alive but severely wounded... I suspected that the same thing happend to my 2 other feeders. Does anyone have the same experience?
