Thanks for that compliment! Well, what would you recommend as another "toy" for them? I have rocks, branches for them to go over, but any suggestions i might add in that you have found to ammuse yours?
mine always like a network of branches high in the cage, and they would hang by their tails etc...

This is the first time my big alligator lizards have done this, so i'll try and explain it. I had an alligator lizard bite his comrade for no reason why today! I saw the whole thing: The big red one *Named 007* Was just basking peacfully under his lamp, while this smaller black one *Lizzy* tasted him a few times, then gave him a few good chomps all over. At first, 007 was like, "WTF?!?" and was surprised but didnt' do anything. BUt when Lizzy bit his arm *it didnt' bleed* 007 jumped and they both fell off the log (LOLOLOL =P). I have never seen them bite each other before for no reason why for as long as i have had them.
If your big guy is a male, he may be biting the other one as a prelude to mating it's a female or trying to fend off a rival if it's a male. I've usually only seen this type of behavior during spring, by early summer eveything seems to settle down.
