I see several of you use CareFresh on your Hondurans, do you like it better than sani-chips or other bedding?
Although many use the product with complete success, I find it incredibly dusty, dessicating and smelly. I went back to wood chips and/or the coconut-husk-derived beddings for my milksnakes (not Hondurans).
I must admit the CareFresh Ultra product (the white stuff) is pretty good but costs quite alot.

yep.
it's more absorbent. it's a recycled product so no demand on forests. Most importantly, i'd think it's less perilous if ingested: Most of us, i suspect, chewed paper into wads for various nefarious purposes when we were kids, and i'm sure a lot of those wads got swallowed. It's pretty benign. Sharp-edged wood chips, on the other hand, worry me a little, though in fairness i used them for years and never had a snake diagnosed with a problem from them.

I'm about half way through a trial period with half of my animals on carefresh that have always been on aspen. I do find the carefresh a bit more prone to odour but it is more absorbant. Dust is pretty close with both.
