Feeder pigs?

RobertPreston Apr 05, 2005 02:11 PM

I would like to try feeding my two Burmese pigs. I know there used to be a few suppliers around that sold frozen pigs of different sizes, but I can't seem to find them. Are there any around? Have any of you tried pigs before? If so, how did it go?

Hey RP,
I asked about pigs awhile back. I was curious about trying them in the future. I saw an ad in the feeder forum. I can't remember the price but there was like a 100 or 150 lbs. minimum order. I think Ed's exotics (who I believe sells Monster cages also?) was advertising them. Hope this helps a little.

There was a company at one time, I believe called, Giant Feeders.
Don't know if they're still around.
Try an internet search

Ever try chickens? Could be cheaper.

It MIGHT be cheaper asking a couple hog farms in your area (if there are any)With the weight you'll likely be dealing with you'll save a lot of money if you can pick up locally. They might not sell to individuals, some might, but it would be worth a try.
