Crockett County, July 7.......8 hours and only one snake......PIC

chrish Jul 10, 2003 12:37 AM

but it was a good one.

Found this little girl alive on a cut about 1:25 am. It had rained earlier in the day and was sprinkling on and off at night with gusty southerly winds and a big thunderstorm well to the south.

Here she is with Mike Price's fingers for a size reference. Probably a 2nd year female.

Boy alterna are easy to find! That makes 2 live and one DOR in 10 years for me!

Nice find - congrats! Mike really missed his calling, he should have been a hand model lol. I cruised around Brewster, Jeff Davis and into Culberson Co. over the weekend...

1 dor atrox
1 hypsiglena
1 gyalopion
1 pit
1 dor suboc

My first two trips to Sanderson in May-June turned up a few atrox, a few rhinos and hypsiglena. It hasn't been a very productive summer for me so far...

Nice alterna, good white borders. Congrats. Only one snake and it's an alterna, that's neat.
