Anyone know where I can get a frozen gerbil?

toshamc Apr 05, 2005 06:57 PM

Well it seems like I've acquired yet another WC snake, my guess is she's not going to eat anything I throw in front of her so I was hoping someone could point me towards someplace I can find a frozen gerbil, used gerbil bedding, will even settle for the hair shaved off a gerbil butt!?!?!?!?! Anything that I can use to entice this snake to eat. Apparently as a Californian I'm not supposed to encourage the use of gerbils in any manner.

Tosha,

Most pet stores (non-Californian) would be more than happy to supply you with a bag of used gerbil bedding. Do you need some shipped?

I suppose if I can't get hair plugs for my rats then I'll have to go with used bedding or something right? You got a local shop that may be willing to part with some? I'll be happy to pay shipping and finders fees (LOL). I thought about checking online for gerbil breeders but thought if I could find a frozen one (the gerbil not the breeder) that I could store in the fridge and just keep using to scent the rats then that might work too. I don't know.

I could ship you some gerbil bedding. No problem. Of course, a frozen gerbil would require dry ice and such. Email me and we'll work something out. (No finder's fee required.)
