Nice find, Jason. Was that a very large lizard, or is it a juvenile. I have no background on those retics. Could be the early risers are just on the slim side. Great pattern though. Do you find many of those? If so, keep the pictures coming. Betweent he quality of your photos and the rarity of those lizards posted, we're in for a treat.

Thanks John. This one was one of the smaller ones that I saw yesterday. So I'm assuming it wasn't fully grown. I'm no lizard expert so it's just a guess. There were several in that area so I'll be going back for more photos. Thanks again for the kind words..Jason

yes they are - last week I had a student bring in a large male he found as a roadkill in Starr County on the 26th of March. A handsome, yet flat, beast.

It is illegal to do so. Also, some people are happy to take home just photos of what they find. The photos live a lot longer and are a lot easier to care for.
