just got back from the depot, picked up most of what we'll need....

to build a 5' by 3' by 2' enclosure. we got the one by fours and 2 by2's and the screws. now we need the plywood, wire, and hinges. i need to draw out blueprints so it goes smoothly, i beleive ill have my dad helping me construct it by next week. we also picked up a special uva/uvb light for 40 bucks, just for now... thanks for all the suggestions, especially crotaphyse kid, nick.

Courtesy of Gus Rentro's site. I used this idea as inspiration for my own pen. I'll post a few pictures of my 9 X 9 pen when I get a chance and you can see the similarities. Read this over...Gus has really simplified a method of getting a nice cage built for minimal cost.

for variouse resons, so that means constructing the cage not attached to the ground. that is a nice page though, thanks again, nick.

now are these your plans for a larger indoor cage or an outdoor enclosure?, if this is your plan for a new indoor cage, it sounds good. are the hinges going to be used to open it from the top or the sides.i hope the uv light is going in the indoor cage, because putting it outdoors would kind of defeat the purpose.

and the light is for the indoor cage their in right now. the 1/2" pvc wire thats vynle coated is the wire im gonna use.
