Rites of Spring

Signs that Spring is here. Found a dead snake in my driveway that the neighbors left. A 16" Scarlett.

Was calle over to another neighbor to rescue a 8" ringneck that was trapped in their pool. he was exhaused and had lost his tail tip-but will survive.

Spring is here...

I did CPR on a 5-line skink today at work... got trapped in the spill way "creek part" of a plastic pond...found him floating belly up this afternoon. When I pulled him out, he was barely moving. I think I got most of the water out of his lungs and I set him up in a quarrantine tank to observe for the next day or so to make sure he's actually fine. He seemed fine by the time I got ready to leave work today so that seems like a good sign... of course by the time the day is coming to an end, baby bunnies are being dropped off.. sigh. a trip to the store for goats milk on the way home. sigh. I don't think I'll get any sleep tonight. yeah spring is here.
