Do you have a flourescent light? You really can't beat live plants. As they grow, they alter the interior of the cage in a naturalistic way. I have pothos, chinese evergreen, arrowhead and a lucky bamboo just for effect (it's too small for the frogs to rest on). I experiment with different kinds, but like these best because they are very hardy. I have a few plastic branches in there, too...but the frogs only incidentally climb on them from time to time. I think the branches work best to help support the plants that grow around them. Remember...they belong to a family called "leaf frogs". Even though they are called this because of the way they lay their eggs (coiled up in a leaf hanging over water), they really seem to feel most at home having a wide choice of big strong leaves to sleep on. Plants need to have large wide leaves and strong stems for Red-eyes. A water feature like a water fall is also nice furniture and keeps the humidity high.
