Feeding after a shed

MightyPython Apr 06, 2005 05:29 PM

I was wondering if there is a certain time table to go by as far as feeding a BP after it just shed? Mine just shed last night and I have a pretty good feeling he's going to be hungry because he didn't poop during his shed like he normally does and he hasn't eaten anything in about 5 months. He always fasts during the winter and usually right around this time of year he starts eating again. Anyway, can I try feeding him tonight or should I wait another day or two to let him settle a bit after the shed? Thanks!

Make sure her poops first then try feeding him. Thanks Scott Glover

Sorry, I mean make sure he poops before you feed him. Thanks Scott Glover

Is it possible that he didn't crap just because he hasn't eaten in so long? He shed a couple times during the fast and crapped both times right when shedding. This time, nothing. Just wondering if he has nothing left to give, if you know what I mean? Thanks for the help.

If he hasn't eaten in 5months then there is a very good chance he has nothing to poop out!

I offer mine the same day they shed with no problems. So I would offer if I was you.

yup, after fasting, he most likely didn't have anything solid left to excrete.

I usually feed the next day after shed, I would offer him tonight.
