My baby RES (1.5" looks like it's shedding it's skin on it's neck, but it doesn't seem to be coming off. If I look closly I think there might be some redness with the shedding skin (blood?). Its being kept with another RES that is slightly smaller, but I've never seen them fight except when they are both pulling at the same piece of food. Any thoughts on what it is? Or am I just paranoid about shedding skin? Thank you for any suggestions.

Thats fine. My russian was doing the same thing and he had cuts. But then it finaly came off and the cuts healed. Give it time

I think the little one is trying to bite where the shedding skin/injury is so I'm going to seperate them for now.

excessive shedding may be caused from too high water temps and/or overfeeding. What are you water temps?

I noticed when I lowered mine the white stuff stopped.

About 75-78 degrees.
