My two high yellow sisters were bred back to their high yellow father this year. This is the first to lay and her sister is only about 2-3 days behind. She was much smaller in comparison to her sister and I really didn't count on any good eggs but there may be something there. Five eggs total with two obvious duds. IMO, the next clutch should be much better, she is way bigger with better formed eggs.

Awesome Dan! Hope the babies come out as total screamers. Look forward to seeing pix them. Are you going to hold them all back or sell some?

Congrats!

Thanks Fred. I don't want to jinx anything so I will just wait and see how it all ends up. I think the second clutch will make me feel better, LOL.

Do you have a locality. Doed the male look similar? Good Job!

This male is the founder of this line and the sire of these eggs and the next clutch. After some research, I have come to the conclusion that they are more than likely from the Yucatan Peninsula(although he is captive bred as was the female I bred him to which produced these two female breeders back in 2001). This will be the first attempt at breeding two high yellows to eachother so the outcome is unknown. By the way, he stretches out to well over 8' and is very girthy(a trait of this line and this locality).
