New Owner-almost

Our first beardie is on its way and we can't wait until it arrives. A couple of questions for you experienced owners. Can you feed small silk worms to a 6 week old baby? Or is it best to stay with the small crickets until the beardie gets a little bigger. What about wax worms. They tend to be smaller, are they ok? Thanks in advance for responding.

Silkies are one fo the best staple bugs you can feed your BD. Just be sure that they are not too large for them to swallow. If they are the right size, and you can constantly provide them, you could feed your BD silkies for the rest of thier life, and they'll love you for it.

I'd stay away from waxworms for now, unless you wanna jsut use them as a treat, but waxies tend to be high in fat, and BD's fed waxies as a staple can lead to wuts called fatty liver disease. plus your silkies for your BD are going to be an everyday treat.
