Here's a pic of the two. . .Golden corn & her boyfriend. The introduction. She wasn't too fond of her first mate (the better looking one), but really seemed to like this one.

Here's a pic of them later on. This is a bad pic - both snakes are not that dark, but lighting was bad in this pic. I didn't want to disturb them too much and kept background light to a minimum. Not a good pic, but you can tell they're definetely getting their "groove on".

The male in the pic was found (by me) only about a quarter of a mile away from where the golden one was found - on the SAME evening (about 20 minutes earlier).
And yes, they did hook up (minutes after the pic) at which time I went to bed to let them finish in peace (it was very late).

Very cool Zee. It will be neat to see if that male carries the same trait or if it is codominant. Be hard to tell which. Good luck on this one. Here is a pic of my weird WC corn from S.Florida. She was with a amel corn and I think he got it done.

Thanks Jason. I don't know all of the color morphs in this world, but I know I've never seen THAT before. That is a cool loooking corn! Did you find it road cruising - south of Miami?

Hey Zee sorry to hear about your trip now I guess you will have to meet me in Texas in the first week of June. I did not find that snake myself but instead bought it from a pet shop that boought it from a field herper along with some rosy rats. Soderberg said she might be a hybrid but I never saw any pics of yellow/red hybrids that looked like her. Whatever, she is cool either way. That shot of yours is killer. She should make for interesting babies. You might need to hold on to the backcrosses for awhile to see if the yellow develops later in life like that. Either way you have at least one cool one of a kind.

Thanks Jason! It is funny that this cornsnake is also my best eating machine in the house! She NEVER refuses a meal and has beefed up quite a bit, lol!
