My female ball has eaten twice in the last two weeks and has gained 350 grams...she was bred to a normal male. up untill sunday she has stayed on the heated end of her cage. Know she spends most of the day on the cool end. know for the question?

is this what I am waiting for? does this mean ovulation is comming soon to a cage near me? (hahaha ok that was really stupid oh well) her last shed was 4 weeks ago!

oh yeah here is a pic of the cage cleaners!!!!!!! slave labor oh I mean what great helpers HAHAHAHA LOL

Thanks

Well, according to the experts, cool seeking behavior is a long process. I think in the wild it's different even if it's just perceived. I look for this as one sign but not all of mine do it. The last female of mine to ovulate has not been near the cool end. In fact, about half of my females are in the cool end in the AM. Some have already ovulated, some have not. Wouldn't it be nice if we could just get them to pee on a little strip and look for blue or pink?

Hi Paul!

Cool seeking behavior is usually a good sign but it in no way guarantees immenant ovulation.

Generally the cool seeking is the first sign followed by wrapping around the water bowl and then a lump building about 3/4 of the way down.

I also have a female that has been wrapped around her water bowl for about a year now and so far nothing! No lump. No swelling. Nothing! She has been bred many times. She humbles me. They do that! After all...they are woman!

Don't try the pee strip thing! They never pee when you want them to! LOL!
