NEED SOME TADPOLE ADVICE

mrmuzik18 Apr 06, 2005 11:59 PM

This evening some friends of mine informed me that they had some tadpoles on their backyard, living in some plant buckets full of water, but were planning to dump out the stagnant water the next day. So I fished out as many as I could, which turned out to be about 200. Just wondering if anyone had some advice for raising this many tadpoles. Also, anyone know what frogs are native to Southern California? I was guessing toads or bullfrogs, but maybe there are some tree frogs in the area as well. I live between LA and Santa Barbara. Thanks!!!

Can you give us a picture of the tadpoles?

I dont have a digital camera, but I can see if I can borrow one. Just wondering if anyone knew.... my current plan is to buy a kiddy pool and line the bottom with sand, and have some plants floating in the water. I am feeding them boiled lettuce. Any other help would be appreciated. Thanks!
