Do BP's refuse prey that may be too small, even if they're hungry?

MightyPython Apr 07, 2005 01:08 AM

Maybe trying to give an adult BP a large mouse or something when it could easily take a medium sized rat. Or will they just eat whatever is in front of them if they're hungry? Thanks.

Sometimes they have a preference for size, but usually, if they are going to eat, they will eat. One of my females ate a 15 gram mouse last week and this week she ate a 200 gram rat....lol
