new mohawk litter is born yesterday

bethoven Apr 07, 2005 09:58 AM

we are very happy to present a new mohawk litter!!!
we was not sure about the female becomes babys or not,but yesterday was the first time for this female
this female is a sister to the mohawk father from the last litter!!

we think we can now get for sure that the mohawk strain is dominant!!!

in the litter was 9 mohawks and 3 eggs, all babys have the chain and the most have also squaretails.
we think all boas become in the next weeks the X-TREM color from the mohawks...

we cant wait to see next season many new projects with this KILLER boa strain!!!
we want to produce mohawk's with leopards, albinos, sunglows and many other boa morphs!

the mohawk project has start now and will grow very fast with this incredible DOMINANT boas!

except for the ladder tails (which now you find a dime a dozen in all bci and bcc) they look like regular central american boas of some sort.. im not trying to start any trouble or in no way put your snakes down but maybe you can post pictures that show what a mohawk boa is . thanks , koky

no problem, i know what is a laddertail...
but you can get for sure that mohawk's one from the nicest pastel boas i know.....and also think some breeders that have seen the mohawk's in real

we have mohawk's thats looks a little like motleys, salmons or some have very crazy pattern...

they all becomes a very X-TREm red or orange and also some have a red/orange mix!

this is a dominant line, also i think this makes mohawks perfect for breeding projects....

here have you some pics

and here is a another mohawk....

bethoven Apr 07, 2005 11:35 AM

and the best by the mohawk's is that not a other boa morph is crossed into this line!!!

i will post in the next 5-7 months new pictures from the new litter, than you can see what for extrem colors this boas become

I have to agree that they also look to be a normal group with nice laddertails.

bethoven Apr 07, 2005 02:41 PM

all mohawks that we have are from one litter!
we have breeding a mohawk male to a normale female and we have received a very nice litter mohawks
we have also breed a normal male to a mohawk female,we dont wont breed the mohawk male to this female to test the genetic! we don't have realy think this female was ready to breed but now we have a litter with very nice boas,we are sure this boas also get the high colored bodys like the other mohawks after the 2-3 sheed and in 4-7 months this boas glow for color, mohawks become after every sheed more and more color...

in this litter was also 3 eggs and 1 dead boa-the dead boas has also side stripes like other mohawks that we have, the mohawk mother from this litter has also a very nice pattern-chain and is deep red!
the most babys from this litter has a very nice chain with laddertail/squaretails
you must think this was a very small litter-it was the first litter for this female,we are sure this female produce also the same mohawks like the mohawk male from the last litter!
in the last litter was also mohawks with laddertails/squaretails.
at this time we are to 95% sure the mohawks are a dominant line.
but what is a mohawk?... we think mohawk's are very nice pastels or maybe a new hypo line!

we test next season many mohawks by breeding projects and we hope we can next year produce many mohawks and also many mohawk crosses with other boa morphs!
if all mohawks produce by breeding with normal boas litters with babys that looks a little like motleys,salmons,laddertails...., and all becomes this very high red or orange, than i think is this a great new morph!

next year we breed also the first time mohawk x mohawk and we cant wait to see the litter

Ok, I get that it's a pastel or possibly a new hypo. I think the question everyone's trying to figure out is, Why mohawk? Who came up with that name? When I saw that name I thought that maybe it referred to the stripe on the head. Why name just call them pastels?

Congratulations & hope for continued success with this line, despite any language barrier,I'm reading you loud & clear, and,I think they look extremely promising! best of luck with them "R"...
