The picture isn't very clear. But for that size, and the apparent colour of the chameleon and the lack of hemipenal bulge, my guess would be a female.

It is a bad picture, but some think that the vent on it is the hemobulge, while other say the tail it too skinny. I've never had a panther before, but I knew I could find some experts here!

oops sorry it is the lack of the hemipenal bulge, not a hemobulge! ( sorry I haven't had my coffee yet )

Moroansetra sp. have one of the biggest body sizes of F. pardalis and adult males are usually red or orange (predominant colors). First, how old is this panther? From the picture, even though it is very blurry...it does look like a female since it's background color is light peach with black bands, typical of females. I can't see the tail very well so don't know if there is a hemipenal bulge or not. If she/he is at least 8 months, there should be some adult coloration coming in and I just don't see male colors in that picture. Hope that helps.

I had a young panther that I could have sworn was a female until after 2 sheds he started turning greenish blue. You never know.

You're right Giantsfan, you never know....don't give up hope but from that picture it looks like my females. But my male didn't get his full coloration until at least 10 months, but he was a weird purple/red for about 4-5 months so I knew he wasn't a female. Let us know what happens!

Hi there, it is not my cham. It was being sold as a male ( at a much higher price), but the sex was questioned, and no one knew what it was. The seller insisted that it was a boy, but the buyer thought it was girl. I thought it was a girl, but from the pictures you can't tell, plus I've never had a panther before, but I figured someone here would know. Thanks guys!
