belly markings

this side of the forum dosn't seem to be traveled much, anyways it's my first post but i've been on this forum awhile, and i have a question that might/mightnot have been asked before.

i have purchased a het for pied about a month or so ago and ive always seen the belly markers running on the sides, well my snake has those, but has a completely orange belly. the father was a 100% and the mother was normal.

just wondering if anyone has experienced this?

thanks in advance

hopefully this link works for you all in the first pic it's just of his markers, on the second pic near the very tip of his tail you can see the orange and near my thumb in the middle it looks more white because of the flash.

I'm not sure I'm looking at the right picture. It seems to want me to sign up to view perhaps the one you intended to show. The belly I'm seeing doesn't really look like the pied marker. It's pretty wide but it's not connected.

So is the father a homozygous pied or a 100% het pied? If it was only a 100% het pied then this one is technically only a 50% chance het pied although the presence or absence of a good marker may indicate the individual's odds are higher or lower.

I’ve seen ringers with orange near the ring on the belly but not the whole belly.

yes the father was a pied, not a het for pied. i have never seen a belly completely orange before.

thanks for your reply though
