I agree with you if you talking about the ones for sale that were posted on 4/7. Poor bastards all piled on top of each other, really a damn shame

I feel especially sorry for the adults who used to be the kings and queens of their rock piles. And, it's aweful to think about what happened to the rock piles.

It's a pitty there aren't more cb's on the market. I think that chucks would be much more popular if people could get cb's more readily. It's hard enough acclimating a fresh caught chuck, it's got to be really hard to establish a wc that's been languishing and declining at the wholesaler's / retailer's for weeks.

I really wish states like California would issue captive breeding permits for chuckwallas. When I was trying to get my first chuck, there was only one guy I could find selling cb's and I emailed him about purchasing one of his cb chucks and he wouldn't sell to me because I was in California. This kind of forces people who want a chuck, to go out and catch their own (which is what I ended up doing) and discourages the people who do have chucks in states like California from breeding them

I had a very nice conversation with the head of law enforcement of the southern section of CA a few years ago. He was very helpful. He said that I could sell cb chucks to people in CA as long as I stated on my reciept that it is legal to only have 2 chucks per person in CA. He thought it was great that there were cb specimens out there and that he hoped it would discourage people from collecting wild caught animals although he was not dead set against collecting if done by the law in a responsible manner. It was really not what I wold have expected. I have sold to several people in CA. Who was the breeder that you wanted to puirchase from?
