peice of skin didnt shed ?

my beardie has a small band of skin left about mid way up his tail from his last shed. this is partly why i bathed him last night, i thought it might help dislodge it but it never. should i try again to loosen it with warm water or is it harmless for him to leave it alone providing it comes of next shed

It's not harmless, it can choke his tail and make it fall off..Try some olive oil to loosen it, but don't ever pick or pull it off, this can cause damaged scales.
