Here's my two ocellated "work buddies", sans the hiding hardwickii. This is "Evil Bastard" and his fat bottom girlfriend with no name. They're both the same size, but she weighs more than twice what he does. When the male isn't sitting on top of HIS perch, he's either sleeping, making sleazy propositions to her, or giving me the evil eye (hence, "Evil Bastard".) Definitely a Type A personality and an Alpha male. He sits up top behind some pieces of paper that I'm slowly reducing, hiding from me, but regularly peeking around to see if I'm still there. He's got a new hide spot under the rock layers that he also digs into to observe me. The gal also plays hide and seek a lot, peeking around the edge of the qood quite often.
As fat as she is, I'm hoping she cranks out a clutch this spring
Lindsay Pike delivered another pair of females that I haven't mixed in yet... they need a LOT of help with socialization an dpeople skills right now and are livin "la vida bucket".
If you can talk your boss into a cage at work, it's really cool to do. Not much more invasive than a fish tank if you've got the space and way more interesting.
