snow corn acting weird,dirt in nose...

i had a plant in my cage with the snake and she was digging in the dirt and now her nostrile's are black(they've been black for a 3-4 days) and she is sneezing.she also isn't eating,which is strange for her because it seems she's never full after a feeding.she looks skinny to.my ? is ,is the dirt in her nose causimg this?or is it something else?it's been 3 weeks since she last ate,how long can she go with out eating?thanks nina ps i've dunked her head in water ,dirt's still there.

you may want to try cleaning it out with a Q-tip.

Whenever people put live plants in the cage, I reccomend to completely remove all the soil and replace it with ground coconut husk. it acts just like dirt, and doesnt have any of the problems. i really don't know what to tell you, you may end up having to take that snake to a vet.

she's crawling around the tank non stop for the last 3-4 days too.i 've had her for 7 years.thanks

I wouldn't worry about that. She's sleeping when you aren't looking most likely.

To answer your other questions, you say that after she eats you can't even notice a lump? Time to up the food size i'd say. I had a black rat go off feed for about 4-5 months over the winter... longer is really possible. She is probably out looking for a mate, which is why she's so busy and isnt eating.

she laid eggs this morning.so she's just got dirt stuck in her nose,geeze.when i was trying to get her to eat last night i was feeling her body for eggs,but couldnt feel none.what a surprise.well thanks,nina
