How badly injured is it? Did the bite it at all. If it is just scratches you can topical meds but you need to actually have a vet examine it if has serious injuries. You may need antibiotics for it.

How did your cats get it?

its not that bad anymore but he is still all scared of everything.i misted his tank and he went right into the hide out.but i think after a few days he should be fine.

o yeah the cats go it cause i left the tank open and he jumped out atr night and the cats chased him around.

o, you still might want to put a little neo-sporin on the scratches. little things like than can get really infected! just put a little tiny bit on a q-tip and rub it gently on his back (or wherever)

While you may be lucky, you're crazy to suggest that there is no vet near you. Try www.arav.com, herpvetconnection, and referrals from other vet clinics in your area to find someone who will see reptiles. You may have to look farther than a few minutes drive. Anything beyond polysporin as previously suggested requires a veterinary prescription whether you can find it online or in a garbage can or wherever.

my frog gott attacked on monday and its monday now.do u think i would have seen an infection by now?its been a whole week.

Not necessarily. Cold blooded animals symptoms generally do not manifest themselves as quickly as warm blooded animals. Are the scratches healing up?

If he is improving that is great but for future reference it would be a smart idea to find a qualified vet and get to know them so that you will know where to turn to in the event of another emergency.

he seems fine and his wounds are getting bettter but is it safe to use neosporen on them?

If they are healing without it then avoid using it. topical medications (or any for that matter)in amphibians are best used only when absolutely needed.
