I just had to share.
I have two baby beardies that hatched about two weeks ago. I've been expecting another 16 beardies to hatch this week. Last night when I got home from work, I asked my wife if she had checked the beardie eggs lately. She just kinda rolled her eyes at me, 'yes, Victor, I checked them last night. Nothing.' She was obviously getting tired of my constant nagging about the eggs. So I check in on the eggs myself and find 16 little beardies looking up at me. Very healthy guys. They all jumped out of their hatching box and into the raising tank (Very short jump, about 2 inches, don't worry!). They haven't begun eating yet, but I already have the crickets at the ready for them.
Moral of the story: ALWAYS ALWAYS check your eggs when you know hatching time is coming.

I know what you mean! I've been checking my panther eggs every day now expecting a little head to be protruding out...not yet, but I really have until August at the latest. But I'm so anxious! My husband actually double checks that I look at them daily...he knows me very well! But Congrats!!

They are adorable , hhehhehee, little cricket crunchers

Make sure you seperate them into groups of about 5 or 6 in different tanks, and FEED often.....

I mean OFTEN, keep em FULL other wise you will have sweet babies with missing toes, feet, arms and tails.

Best of luck with them, post a pic

Yep yep!
On top of her daily routine of getting the monkeys (our 4 kids) off to school, and taking care of the house, bernie also takes care of our herps while I'm at work. She feeds the babies several times a day. She's constantly monitoring the crickets, making sure there's enough crickets in the day, and enough greens for the crix and should the baby beardies want some greens. My job when I get home is to clean out the tank completely- meaning no crix, no poop, just a clean paper towel for the babies to sleep on.
Right now I have them in two seperate containers, but I'm gonna get one more container for them this weekend.

I've constantly thought of getting into the reproducing of one of my herps, so I could maybe some day come home and find a bunch of little new-born baby heads poppin out at me, but right now i'll settle with my BIG guys.. Great job on your new hatchlings =-))
