If you want to save the eggs you need to supply her with a humid/egg laying container. It can be a rubbermaid container or a large, plastic butter container with a hole big enough for her to enter on the side, and also big enough for her to turn around in. Fill it about 1" to 2" with sterile soil, vermiculite, or moss that is kept moist but not soaked. So hopefully she uses the container and the eggs will stay hydrated until you find them.
I would also do a search on Google or Yahoo for "Leopard Gecko Breeding" for pics and more info. Hope this helps.

Of course you, or any animal, can get a tumor on the hand. A tumor is a group of abnormally growing cells. Any where there are cells, there can be a tumor! You might want to get a vet to look at it. If it is Benign, then it wouldn't have to be removed. If it's not bothering your male, then it probably will not cause him any problems. About the eggs, as long as you keep a very moist humid hide, the eggs should be fine in it over night. Most of my females lay at night, and the eggs are still fine in the morning. Just make sure that it's pretty moist when you see that your female is about to lay. (Digging, pacing, mine close their eyes when they're uncomfortable and sometimes I've been able to see their contractions!) Hope this helps you. Good luck with your future eggs.

Speaking from a medical stand point, since I have been in the medical field for many years now, it could actually be a cyst instead of a tumor but either way it should be looked at by a vet. Cysts are more common in the hand area than tumors and they tend to be more common in that area in animals too. I've worked as a vet tech too and I saw a cyst on a snakes nose about the size of a quarter. Either way they can be very painful and it needs to be removed as soon as possible. As far as the eggs go give her a nesting box for her next set because we all can't be night owls like our geckos.
