reptisun 10.0..

trep Apr 08, 2005 01:19 PM

Hello,
Ever since i put the new 10.0 in a week ago my two girls have been trying to avoid it by spending most their time towards the corners of their cage or hiding under branches. They are in a 5 x 2 with 4' uvb strip lighting. This is contrary to before when they used to love to spend their time everywhere in the enclosure. Basking temps and everything else have remained the same. Is this a sign that the 10.0 is to harsh for them?? Should I switch to a 5.0??

THANKS!!

could be a sign they find it too strong, either in light intensity or UVB. The 10's must be new as this is the first time I heard of them. I would give them a day or two to see if they adjust, if not, then go back to the 5.0 or 8.0 if reptisun is the brand that has the 8's.
