Pics of some Easterns...

WizzKing Jul 10, 2003 09:08 AM

The first pic is of Falco, a soon to be 3 year-old female (southern GA/northern FL CB stock) that's already ca. 52" and growing like a weed! I nicknamed her "Bonkers" because I've never seen any snake eat like this one - man it would be 24/7 if I let her; and it's always brutal even with thawed too. I've also been bitten more times by this snake in 3 years (I got it nearly out of the egg in Tallahassee and fed her her first meal) than all my others combined! She's not "mean," but just a really agressive feeder. This is a female that I'll cross with my large Eastern, Augustus.

The next pic is of a wild-caught Pender Co., NC Eastern about 50" long with thinner, whiter bands. This is another snake I got via Hillson - I just hope he can reproduce after being with Keith for a month or so (can you say cornhole? LOL). He's being kept to breed with my OBK (Howie Sherman stock) in a year or two.

This snake has only been in captivity for a year too...kick as#!

Take care,

Dont breed the OBK and the NC together. Get another OBK for the love of god. People are trying to keep those OBK's as a pure locality and if you breed one into a normal Eastern you are messing with that. I may have a male OBK you can buy so drop me an email.

Take it easy there big daddy! I figured someone would say something LOL I'm was just fu#$ing around - you know I like to stir up shi#.

I know - because you told me - they're trying to keep that line as pure as possible because the Striker stock is running its course; and I don't like any abnormal or "introduced" variety in my snakes anyway and won't breed them for sure. I'm a mutt kinda a guy in regards to absolute patterns and size with my Easterns but a real stickler for accurate feeding and locality data if I get a snake.

I'm not going to breed any snakes unless I find a large female with locality data to breed with that McIntosh Co., GA Eastern I got from you. I'm in it more for size than pattern to be honest.

It's not the Striker Stock (Howie Sherman's) I meant...that's what I've got now.
