2 ally snappers died..why???

andrewthao Apr 08, 2005 05:46 PM

well....bad news is....my 2 ally snappers died...the first died the next week after i fed him a pacman frog that died that hour, but i wasnt that worried about that one because it was a pig tailed ally, meaning he was sort of deformed, and now, 6 weeks later, my other ally snapper died....was the frog the reason? My 3 common are still fine, but one now has a lump under his neck...help...they are all by the way around 3 in

That wasn't exactly a good idea feeding an animal from an exotic local to a native reptile.

What kind of setup are you using?

Deformed or not....the 'pig tail' didn't deserve to die either! Just because it wasn't perfect doesn't forfit it as a living creature.

As the other person stated, it's never a good idea to feed an exotic species to your animals. Also, you probably don't know what caused the death of the pacman frog. It's always best to keep to an animals natural prey. Christy
