I have a very large black rat snake in my yard that is eating my rabbits I don't want to harm the snake so if any one has any suggestions on how to trap the snake safely Iwould love to hear them

Simple. Send him to me. I'll take care of the rest.

Assuming they are pet rabbits in a cage, you need to try and secure the cage so the ratsnake can't get in.

You could also just catch the snake and move it somewhere else, although there is some evidence that snakes that are relocated this way don't make it.
