I've seen a terrarium without animals built with foam as the base, you can carve it into shapes. Is it toxic for my pets? I wanted to make a waterfall base out of it.

let it completely outgas and put a primer made by ICI/Glidden, called Gripper. Then put 2 coats of satin interior paint over it. you need the gripper or else the paint will peel. lwt the paint outgas and you'll be good
