KFDX (Wichita Falls, Texas) 08 April 05 Rattlesnake Hunt
Waurika, Oklahoma will be rattling and shaking this weekend, not from an awakening of the Mears fault line, but from the awakening of thousands of diamondback rattlers from their winter slumber. The 44th Annual Fangtastic Rattlesnake Hunt is underway through Sunday, with the actual hunt starting Saturday, and registration is only $3. There will be samples of snake catching skills, as well as plenty of samples of rattlesnake cooked just the way you like it. If you like it rare, as in never even seeing it, there are dozens of other food and art booths to turn to.
