Beaver valley show?

jungle Jul 10, 2003 09:52 AM

Does anyone know if the beaver valley reptile show is good? Any vendors with frogs?

This will be a little bit biased of an opinion since my former roomate (and cousin in-law) runs the show.

I like the show......you'll get pretty much all the regular nevdors that the Pittsburgh show attracts and a few others. Last show was a near sellout as far as vendors go. As for frogs, it depends on what your looking for. It als odepends on what the vendors have at the time. I've seen some with Mantellas, and poison darts, but only on a couple of occasions. there are few frog breeders. if your looking for Pacmans, etc, then there are usually a handful at the shows (any shows)

It really depends highly on what your looking for. Red Eyes are usually a staple, the higher end ones though, most vendors only take them to shows like Hamburg (where people will go specifically looking for a certain frog)

anyway, hope this helps. It's a decent show. The vendors are a good mix of hot, non-venomous, supplies, lizards, turtles, etc. Like I said, it really depends on what exactly your looking for and what the vendors happen ot have at the time.

Thanks
Todd

Ok I am even more bias then Todd, since I co-own the show. But it is kinda like a smaller Hamburgh. And this show we do have a dart frog guy coming. Plus at noon we have a guy that will be doing a program on diffent animals including monkeys and such. He has about 15 or so animals that he will bring and so show sounds to good to miss. We also have going home grey hounds and a shunk rescue group. Plus we have a 50/50 and a bar on site. And Todd it is nice to see you getting involed again, keep it up
from your soon to be future in-in law.
