Carpets hatching ... FINALLY

twinoats Apr 09, 2005 07:44 AM

Gee whiz, pushing 11 months and finally some proper sweating. I had one egg sweat a few weeks ago but the egg was going bad

Now four eggs are sweating, and two little snouts are poking out. Let's hope for some good luck; breeding and incubating these guys make Panther reproduction & rearing seem like cake.

These eggs are true CBB Lateralis lateralis, from CH parents "Orzo"(papa) and "Vermicelli", a really pretty female. I'll post pics of the family tree once the little ones are out and about.

Wish us luck, this has been a long time in the making, with lots of heartbreak along the way,
~Kerry

Hoping everybody hatches out PERFECTLY

I'll say a critter prayer, for the lil carpets ! I'm sure your hard work, and heartbreak, will be well worth it when the little ones all emerge and move into their NEW home.

Congratulations on your hatchings, and just wanted to say very good job on getting them hatched. It's very hard work to produce babies, at all. =-)
