I was looking at the ones from millerreptiles and they look amazing. I have always wanted a suri since I think they are the most beatiful boas. I was just wondering, are they worth the $400 price tag?

I was looking at the ones from millerreptiles and they look amazing. I have always wanted a suri since I think they are the most beatiful boas. I was just wondering, are they worth the $400 price tag?
Suri's can vary greatly in price range and can go much higher that $400. They can go up into the thousands for a flawless adult. I would say that many of those Miller Suri's are priced well. You won't find too many that are that nice for only $400. I personally like female #4 from litter D. It doesn't have the biggest peaks but it is basically specle free and super clean looking, has a very light background color with dark contrasting saddles, an amazing long red tail, and red side medalions all the way up - worth the $450 price tag for sure. Just my opinion. Everyone has their own taste and each person looks for different things but that would be the one I would pick.-------RON
Your right #4 is amazing. What do you think of female #5 from the same litter? That's the one I had my eye on. Do you think #4 is worth the extra $50?
Yes, #4 is definitely worth the extra $50. #5 has a lot of marks between the saddles which makes it look not as "clean". These marks will only get darker as the animal matures which will worsen the look. #4 does not have this trait which makes it more attractive and "cleaner". In addition, #4 has more contrast (darker saddle color vs. light background color) which will increase with age as the saddles darken making it again even nicer looking. Although #5 may have bigger peaks, #4 has a better overall appearance. #4 is the hands down winner in my book. Again, just my opinion.-------RON
I also love the head markings. You are going to have this animal for a long time, it is tough to make a decision. It is also a matter of personal opinion. I agonized over Barry's site for weeks before I chose my Suri. I will probably sound like a loser, but I printed pics of all the ones I liked and went through them all the time, put them side by side, etc.
Good Luck!

If I was buying a suri, I'd get my first from Barry, and I think they are easily worth $400.

They are DEFINITELY worth the $400 dollar price tag. I am sure you can make it a little less painful by putting down a deposit, and he will hold the snake for you. Or, you can get a male . . they are generally priced a little lower because there were a lot of them. Shoot him an e-mail, he is a great guy. I posted pics of my girl below and she was also $400. But I have NO regrets whatsoever. She is BEAUTIFUL, tame as can be, and a GREAT eater. I just fed her her first meal today (a f/t mouse) and she took it with no problem. If you have any other questions, feel free to e-mail me.
Take Care,
Nicole

It is worth every cent! I have not yet purchased a Surinam at all, but did buy a Bolivian amarali from Barry last year. I would reccomend him to anyone! Top bloodlines from a great breeder that really cares for the animals. He knows he doesn't have to sell high, because people come to him, so you get the best for a great price for starting your own collection with the best animals.
He gladly does payment plans as long as they are not too streched, that was the way I purchased my boa.
