billykiesel Apr 09, 2005 11:04 AM

I was wondering if would be a good idea if I got retic python.
Ive never worked with them before. Their beautiful snakes and mysterious ones too. So help me decide if I should get one. it would be helpful if someone posted pics of different retics out there.
Thanks

This can be answered by a number of things, first off I can ask the question of if you have any experience with large snakes? The rest of the questions you have to ask yourself. Such as things like, Can I house a snake that grows VERY fast and to an enormous size? Can I afford to house and feed the snake? There are actually a billion questions, but I'm lacking here, I'm sure someone will be able to come up with A LOT though. But those are basic questions you will NEED to know the answers to. Retics can be great pets, they can be all around great snakes, but it doesn't mean that everyone should own one. They are very expensive to house and feed, and even if you think your snake is the tamest thing in the world, that doesn't mean things can't go wrong, so you do still always need to be prepared. I hope this helps! But be sure to ask a lot of questions if you do decide you might want one. Attached is a picture of my baby super tiger reticulated python.
